Chris Jagger’s Atcha (yes, yes, the brother of the other) gave quite a show July 6th at the Zaricot. True to the festive spirit of their recent album, Act of Faith, the British group oscillated between blues and zydeco with an irresistable touch of funk all night long. The evening ended very late, with a huge happening where the musicians of the opening act The Echo Hunters were invited to join Jagger and his band on stage. Chris Jagger loved the place and he confided to us that he hopes to return next winter. We can’t wait!

The whispers had been growing:
"Mick's here". And suddenly, he
was on stage, he and younger
brother Chris dueting on Dead
Flowers. It was eerie. Visually, a
mirror image, vocally it was like an
echo as the Jagger boys
harmonised, one playing acoustic
guitar, the other clapping as if
doing Satisfaction. The band
provided the perfect backing,
honed through Chris's cajun
tinged world country, Charlie Hart
notable alongside youthful guitarist
Jim Mortimore. Then, Mick was off
to the back for a drink, anxious
not to hog the limelight, leaving
little brother to wow with more
intelligent,rocking music.

I must apologise for my inability to sit in front of a word processor and answer lots of internet questions on line and do all that jazz, but I look out of the window and see that trees need planting and ground needs clearing and vegetables weeding so there is only so much you can do during the day. Will try to get around to setting up something better on the site however..... Promises promises. Right
now I am off to do some promotion for this record. You have to sit
down and blurt on about yourself and your opinions, like you know
more than other people. I don't think so. Truth is all relative as
my brother said to me. Ha, ha that was a joke. As long as you can
laugh at yourself maybe others won't take you too seriously.
